Professional Career:
Rodon was selected by the Chicago White Sox with the third overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut on April 21, 2015, and recorded his first career win on May 5, 2015. He finished his rookie season with a 9-6 record, 3.75 ERA, and 1.21 WHIP in 20 starts. In 2016, he was limited to only 14 starts due to injuries but still managed to put up decent numbers, going 4-3 with a 4.04 ERA. He rebounded in 2017, pitching to a 12-10 record and 3.33 ERA in 28 starts.
In 2018, Rodon had his best season yet, pitching to a 13-9 record and 3.40 ERA in 31 starts. He also set career-highs in wins, strikeouts (228), and innings pitched (174.1). Unfortunately, he was once again limited by injuries in 2019 and 2020, making a combined only 14 starts over those two seasons.
